Marina- CP 4

Last Tuesday I met with Fatih again during coffee hour at CIES. I also began the conversation by asking him how his weekend was, how school is going, or if there's any news on his college acceptance through Fulbright.
He told me he has to take the GRE's soon, within the next two weeks. After I asked him what he's doing to prepare for it, he told me that he's not too worried about the math section, since last time he got over a 760 on it. But he said that since he has a lot of other work to do to study for CIES and TOEFL, he has not been reviewing that much for the GRE.
Although I haven't taken the GRE's, from my knowledge and experience of preparing for the SAT's, I told him that it would greatly increase his score if he did timed practices every day for a few hours. He said that he will try that even though he's constantly busy. In response, I told him that the GRE is equally important as his TOEFL or CIES work, because without it, the schools that he applied to will not accept him simply based on English language, which would be a pity.
So I will see if he actually took my advice the next time I meet with him.
